Die aktuelle Ausgabe von "Jazz oder nie" wird zu "Jazz oder Corona".
Sie wird, ganz gegen unsere Gewohnheit, eine Sendung ohne Wortbeiträge sein; dazu haben wir uns wegen der Corona-Krise schweren Herzens entschlossen.
Wir spielen Musik von Musiker*innen, die auf den nun abgesagten Festivals dieses Jahres Konzerte gegeben hätten.

Die Januar- Ausgabe von "Jazz oder nie" beschäftigt sich, -ausgehend von Cover-Versionen seiner Stücke des ROVA-Saxofon-Quartetts und der Gruppe Ideal Bread- mit dem Sopransaxofonisten und Komponisten Steve Lacy (1934-2004), der mit seiner Musik ein breites Spektrum von New Orleans über Thelonious Monk, in dessen Band er eine zeitlang spielte, bis zu seiner Zusammenarbeit mit dem Pianisten Cecil Taylor und anderen aus der improvisierenden Avantgarde abdeckte.
