Heute werden wieder - unter dem Motto This Is Pop - neue Platten vorgestellt. Zwei Stunden gefüllt mit - teilweise obskuren - Tönen zwischen Indie und Industrial, Gitarren Pop, (Post) Punk, dazu passenden Konzerthinweisen sowie einem Special über das anstehende Reeperbahn-Festival vom 20. bis 22.09.2012, hier sind u.a. WAVE PICTURES, UNDERTONES, WEDDING PRESENT, HI-LO & IN BETWEEN, ADMIRAL FALLOW, ISLANDS, SPRING OFFENSIVE, LOVE A, J.ALLEN und BERNADETTE LA HENGST zu sehen.

Heute ein Special über die Punk Band FLIPPER aus San Francisco. Die Band ist mit Unterbrechungen, zwei Bassisten (Will Shatter 1987 und John Dougherty 1997) starben an einer Überdosis Heroin, dazu kamen noch Unfälle, seit 33 Jahren aktiv. Gerade Anfang der achtziger Jahre, als viele Bands in der aufstrebenden Hardcore Punk Szene versuchten möglichst schnell zu spielen, blieben Flipper ihrem gedrosselten Tempo treu und prägten damit nicht nur Gruppen wie Nirwana oder Melvins, sondern nahmen quasi Grunge und Noise Rock vorweg. Im April waren Flipper in der Besetzung Rachel Thoele, Ted Falconi, Steve DePace und Bruce Loose nicht nur in Hamburg zu Gast, sondern Steve, Bruce und Ted standen freundlicherweise auch für ein Interview bereit.
