Although heavy they have a deftness of touch most bands playing this
style of music lack. There is subtleness at work during their long
song workouts and an almost jazz perspective to some of their low-end
rumblings which means they are never less than exciting to hear.
Noxagt have released three critically acclaimed records, all on
US-based Load Records (Lightning Bolt, Sightings). The band’s
third album, was produced by Scott MacLeod (Faust, Ben Folds Five).
Since their inception in 2001, Noxagt have toured continental Europe and
Scandinavia extensively, not to mention their native Norway. During
their third US tour in 2007, the band played at two SXSW showcases.
In 2004 Noxagt recorded a Peel Session at the BBC studios in London
(17.6.04),making them the only Norwegian band to ever record a Peel
Session.
